About the Role:
We are looking for a high-impact Finance leader to take full ownership of our India Finance function at a critical stage of growth. As Senior Director, Finance – India, partnering directly with both local and global leadership to shape strategy, strengthen governance, and build a world-class Finance organization.
What You’ll Own
• Full leadership of Finance for India – compliance, reporting, controls, and operations
• Direct interface with regulators, tax authorities, and external auditors (EY)
• Ownership of financial close, reporting integrity, and audit excellence
• Design and execution of a scalable, best-in-class Finance infrastructure
• Finance transformation agenda – automation, process optimisation, and systems evolution
• Strategic partnership with business leaders to drive performance and decision-making
• Leadership and development of a high-calibre Finance team
• Active role on the Bangalore leadership team, influencing site strategy and growth
Who We’re Looking For
You are an enterprise-level Finance leader with the judgement, credibility, and leadership maturity to operate as the senior Finance lead for India. You bring strategic breadth, technical depth, and the ability to lead through influence across local, regional, and global stakeholders.
• 12–15+ years’ experience, with significant time in senior Finance leadership roles
• Experience in a US-headquartered multinational environment essential
• Deep expertise in Indian GAAP; US GAAP exposure is required
• Proven success in audit, compliance, and regulatory engagement
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing Finance teams, setting clear standards, strengthening capability, and creating a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-growth or transformation environments
• Exceptional executive presence, communication judgement, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders globally, challenge constructively, and represent Finance with authority
• Demonstrated leadership in complex, matrixed organisations, balancing local statutory requirements with global corporate priorities and driving alignment across functions, geographies, and leadership teams
• Strong change leadership capability, with a track record of leading teams through transformation, ambiguity, growth, and increased governance expectations while maintaining operational discipline
• High standards of leadership integrity, risk awareness, and decision quality, with the confidence to escalate issues early, protect the control environment, and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership
